About GHRP-6

GHRP-6 is a synthetic hexapeptide and the compound that established the growth hormone releasing peptide class. Like GHRP-2 it is an agonist at the ghrelin receptor GHS-R1a, triggering growth hormone release from the pituitary while simultaneously suppressing somatostatin, the hormone that normally holds GH output in check.
Its defining characteristic is appetite. Because ghrelin is the body’s hunger signal, agonism at its receptor produces a pronounced increase in appetite that arrives quickly and is difficult to ignore. In the literature this is the single most reported effect, more consistently than the GH release itself, and it is the reason GHRP-6 is discussed in the context of gaining rather than cutting.
It is less potent than GHRP-2 for GH release. Where GHRP-2 was developed to strip out the appetite effect and keep the hormone response, GHRP-6 retains both, which makes the choice between them less about strength and more about whether the hunger is wanted.

Where the evidence sits: the growth hormone releasing peptides were synthesised in the 1980s and 90s and are well characterised pharmacologically, with human data on GH release. What is thin is long term outcome data: the studies show the hormone moves, not what happens to a person over years of moving it. Neither holds a medicines licence.

The pen format
GHRP-6 is a compound where the appetite response scales with the dose, which makes fine control genuinely useful rather than a nicety. The dial moves in 20mcg steps.

Choosing between GHRP-6, GHRP-2 and IpamorelinThe honest summary is that appetite decides this one. GHRP-6 produces the strongest hunger response of the three by a wide margin.
