About GHRP-2

GHRP-2 is a synthetic hexapeptide and one of the original growth hormone releasing peptides. It acts as an agonist at the ghrelin receptor, GHS-R1a, which is the same receptor the stomach hormone ghrelin uses to signal hunger and to trigger growth hormone release from the pituitary.
That mechanism puts it in a different class from the GHRH analogues such as sermorelin and tesamorelin. A GHRH analogue amplifies the signal the hypothalamus is already sending; a ghrelin receptor agonist pulls a separate lever, and also suppresses somatostatin, the brake that limits GH output. The two mechanisms are additive, which is why the literature so often pairs one of each rather than running two of the same type.
Compared with GHRP-6, GHRP-2 is the more potent of the pair for GH release and provokes noticeably less appetite stimulation. It does carry more cortisol and prolactin activity than the newer and more selective ipamorelin, which is the trade off that usually decides between them.

Where the evidence sits: the growth hormone releasing peptides were synthesised in the 1980s and 90s and are well characterised pharmacologically, with human data on GH release. What is thin is long term outcome data: the studies show the hormone moves, not what happens to a person over years of moving it. Neither holds a medicines licence.

GHRP protocols in the literature are small and frequent rather than large and occasional, which is exactly the pattern a syringe handles badly and a dial handles well. 200mcg is ten clicks.

Choosing between GHRP-2, GHRP-6 and IpamorelinAll three are ghrelin receptor agonists and all three release growth hormone. They differ in selectivity. GHRP-6 causes pronounced hunger, which is either the reason to pick it or the reason to avoid it. GHRP-2 releases more GH with much less of that appetite effect.
