The pen format

Ipamorelin alone, or paired with CJC-1295?

Ipamorelin is a ghrelin receptor agonist: it presses the trigger for growth hormone release. What it does not do is raise the ceiling of that release, that is a GHRH analogue’s job, and it works through an entirely separate receptor.

This is why ipamorelin is so rarely run on its own. The Ipamorelin + CJC-1295 pen covers both mechanisms from one cartridge, which is the conventional approach.

Where ipamorelin alone makes sense is control, a single variable, so you learn how you respond to it before adding a second compound. It is also the more selective of the older secretagogues, with minimal effect on cortisol or prolactin.

If you want sustained elevation rather than pulses, that is a different compound again: MK-677 is orally active and long-acting, which is more convenient and arguably less physiological.
