The pen format

Handling and storage

• Store refrigerated at 2 to 8°C. Do not freeze

Retatrutide or tirzepatide?

Retatrutide is the triple agonist: GLP-1, GIP and glucagon. Tirzepatide covers the first two. The glucagon receptor is the addition, and it is not a small one.

Where GLP-1 and GIP work mainly on intake, appetite, satiety, gastric emptying, glucagon agonism brings expenditure into the picture. That is why retatrutide’s trial results have drawn the attention they have.

The honest trade is evidence against magnitude. Tirzepatide has the longer and more extensive record; retatrutide has the newer and more aggressive mechanism with less behind it. Adding glucagon activity also adds its own considerations, including effects on heart rate and glucose handling.
